All-on-4® Treatment ConceptReplacing All Your Teeth: Know Your OptionsThe Latest Option for Tooth ReplacementDental implants are the newest addition to replacing missing teeth and have quickly become one of the most popular options. They consist of three parts—the implant (a small, titanium rod), the abutment (the connector), and the crown (your replacement tooth). Implants require a surgical procedure, during which time the titanium rods are placed into your jawbone. As you heal, the bone fuses with the titanium, a process called osseointegration. This process turns the rods into the roots, which then support your new teeth. What is the All-on-4® Treatment Concept?Instead of being relegated to dentures, we offer the All-on-4® Treatment Concept. With this treatment, the success of your restoration relies more on the strategic placement of the implants used, rather than the actual number used. In the case of this treatment, only four implants are used to support an entire arch of replacement teeth. Two of the implants are placed vertically toward the front of the jaw. This area naturally contains more bone mass. The other two implants are placed at the back of the jaw (one on each side). These implants are inserted at a 45-degree angle, which enables the implants to make as much contact as possible with the available bone mass. When placed in the upper jaw, this angle also enables us to avoid piercing the sinus cavities. Once you have healed, you can enjoy a strong, stable set of replacement teeth, and avoid the need for traditional dentures. The Benefits of the All-on-4® Treatment ConceptThe All-on-4® Treatment Concept has several benefits:
